MM in Orchestral Conducting

The proposed Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting program is distinctive in its comprehensive approach, which combines rigorous training in conducting techniques with an in-depth exploration of orchestral repertoire and interpretation. The program is designed to help students develop their artistic and technical proficiency while fostering a deeper understanding of musical leadership and communication with ensembles.

This program offers an advanced continuation of studies for students who have completed undergraduate degrees in music and aspire to professional careers as orchestral conductors, music educators, or ensemble leaders. It also complements the existing master’s programs in Performance (Western Instruments, Chinese Instruments, Voice, Percussion and Piano) by broadening the scope of advanced musical studies within the Department of Music.
